Sumerpur, 7 November 2025 —
An awareness workshop on the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Program was successfully organized at CLG Institute of Engineering & Technology (CLGIET), Sumerpur. The event aimed to create awareness about the World Bank-supported RAMP initiative, which focuses on improving the competitiveness and sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across India.
The RAMP program, implemented by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, is designed to strengthen MSME performance through initiatives such as technology upgradation, market access, digital transformation, and easier access to finance.
During the session, experts emphasized the importance of innovation, skill development, and financial literacy for MSME growth. The workshop also guided participants on various government schemes, capacity-building measures, and policy interventions under the RAMP framework.
Faculty members, students, and representatives from local industries actively participated in the event, making it an interactive and insightful session. The session concluded with a discussion on how academic institutions like CLGIET can contribute to nurturing entrepreneurship and supporting local business ecosystems.
Dr. S.L. Ghelot, Chairman of CLG Group of Institutions, appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path. He emphasized the role of engineers in developing innovative solutions that can strengthen MSMEs and contribute to India’s economic growth.
