Overview

Civil Engineering is the oldest branch of engineering. An evergreen branch with always increasing demand, Civil Engineering deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of various structures like buildings, roads, canals, bridges, dams, etc. During the four-year course, students undergo various subjects like Geotechnical, Structure, Environmental, Transportation, Surveying, Water Resources, Concrete technology, Building material, Estimation & Costing, Project Planning, etc. Students are exposed to practical work by working in various established state-of-the-art laboratories.

  • Problem Analysis - Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyse complex civil engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of mathematics and engineering.

  • Design/Development of solutions - Design Solutions for complex civil engineering problems that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health, safety and the cultural societal and environmental considerations.

  • Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems - Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
